Officers
President - Dewayne Curry Dewayne Curry has performed in various roles in his nearly 10 years of participation with Washington Community Theatre. Curry has served on the board for a number of years and was recently assumed the role of president after serving as vice president. He is a member of the Immaculate Conception Church Choir, where he also administers an after-school daycare program. Curry works as a historic interpreter for the Meadowcroft Rock Shelter and Historic Village in Avella.
Vice President - Kim Pijanowski Kim Pijanowski is an 11-year member of the Washington Community Theatre family and has been a cast member in a number of WCT productions. She joined the board in 2014 and has served as stage manager for the two most recent fall productions. Pijanowski is a special education teacher in the West Allegheny School District and a member of her church choir.
Past President - Summerlea Klinar Summerlea Klinar has been involved with Washington Community Theatre since 1997. She has consistently been cast in WCT shows for nearly 10 years. Klinar recently served four years as vice president of the board before being elected president in 2017. Some of her favorite roles include Eva Peron in “Evita,” Fiona in “Brigadoon” and Missy in “The Marvelous Wonderettes.”
Recording Secretary - Cindy Zubchevich Cindy has been involved with WCT since 2013 and enjoys playing the piano/keyboard for rehearsals and productions. She is organist/pianist at Center Presbyterian Church in Peters Twp. and also plays in the Chancel Bell Choir and Recorder Ensemble. Being involved with WCT has also given her the opportunity to accompany many talented musicians (all ages) for other special events throughout the area. Until her retirement, she held the position of Activities Director at the Washington County Health Center.
Treasurer - Tom Shope Tom Shope, upon connecting with Washington Community Theatre in 2015, has returned to the stage after nearly 30 years. His youngest daughter, Laura, is also involved with WCT as a member and performer. Tom is an alumnus of West Virginia University and the Duquesne University School of Law. He is currently employed by the United States Department of the Interior. Shope serves as the board’s treasurer.

Sidney Franczak Sidney has been involved with WCT for 15 years and is honored to serve as a board member. She holds a BA in Theater from California University of Pennsylvania and is the Communications Coordinator for Pittsburgh CLO. Her favorite WCT roles include Hairspray (Tracy Turnblad), The 25th Annual...Spelling Bee (Logainne), and Urinetown: the Musical (Little Becky).
Harold Smith
Melissa Voytek Melissa Voytek was first involved with Washington Community Theatre in 1987 with the production of “Oliver!” She holds a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary theatre design from West Liberty University where she started The Imagination Factory, a touring children’s theatre company. Most recently, Voytek was cast as Mrs. Corry in “Mary Poppins.” She is the director of the inaugural WCT Kidz show, "The Nifty Fifties."
