COURTESAN AUDITION PREPARATION:

  • Paperwork: Download and complete the audition form and bring it with you when you come to audition. (CLICK HERE FOR AUDITION FORM) You may bring a resume and headshot but it is not required. (Those auditioning for the show must be 18 years of age or older.)
  • Dance: The Courtesan roles require dancing in the show. Please be prepared to dance and demonstrate skills in moves such as hip rolls, lunges, balance kicks, etc.
  • Song: 32 bars of an up tempo song or ballad to sing.  The song does not need to be a selection from the show, but it should be of a similar genre.  Please bring sheet music in your key and with any necessary cuts - an accompanist will be provided.  No acapella auditions!
  • Monologue: You do not need to prepare a monologue.  Sides for each role will be available for you to read.
  • Schedule/Conflicts: Since rehearsal schedules are dependent upon actors’ availability, there will be calendars for you to complete at auditions indicating any dates in April, May, and June when you would not be able to attend rehearsals.  Having this information will help us facilitate the rehearsal scheduling process.
